羅賓•威爾生博士

Robin Wilson

作為澳洲領先的音樂教育家,羅賓•威爾生教授是澳洲國家音樂學院在墨爾本的首席小提琴師,並同時在悉尼音樂學院的對外公開院校任教。此前,他曾被指定為悉尼大學和澳洲音樂學院的小提琴系教學導師以及昆士蘭大學的弦樂學術團的教授。他的學生們,贏得過所有澳洲大型的國家比賽,更是多次成為國際比賽獲獎者,其中包括有梅紐因國際小提琴比賽(Yehudi Menuhin)。他的學生們經常與澳洲主要的管弦樂隊合作,被邀請為獨奏家,並在澳洲和海外領先的管弦樂隊內演奏,其中包括澳洲室內樂團,柏林愛樂樂團和英國廣播公司愛樂樂團。他的學生也均被世界各地的排名領先的音樂學院錄取,其中包括美國的柯蒂斯音樂學院,茱莉亞學校,德國柏林音樂學院及英國皇家音樂學院。

羅賓擁有悉尼音樂學院的演奏專業與音樂教育的學士與碩士學位,求學期間跟隨教授愛麗絲•沃登(Alice Waten)學習, 目前與教授珍妮特•戴維斯(Janet Davies)一起在悉尼合作。也曾跟隨過不同院校的多名教授,並與他們進行學術交流。其中包括:波士頓新英格蘭音樂學院的詹姆斯•布斯威爾教授(James Buswell) ,阿德萊德艾德音樂學院的貝里爾•金伯教授(Beryl Kimber),新西蘭的帕梅拉•都西特教授(Pamela Dowsett)和簡•塔羅西斯維茨教授(Jan Tawroszewicz)以及倫敦的費利克斯•安德列夫斯基教授(Felix Andrievsky)和大衛•塔科諾教授(David Takeno)。

  • Grace Clifford

    Grace Clifford

    Grace Clifford is an Australian violinist currently studying at the Curtis Institute of Music. In 2014, at the age of 16,she won the ABC Young Performer of the Year award, the biggest prize in Australia for classical musicians. During the 2016–17 season Grace has performed violin concertos with various Orchestras including the Adelaide Symphony, Sydney Symphony, Melbourne Symphony, and Melbourne Chamber Orchestra.
  • Emily Sun

    Emily Sun

    Australian violinist Emily Sun is rapidly gaining international recognition as a rising soloist. She was awarded the Gold Medal of the 2016 Royal Overseas League Music Competition UK, the first violinist to win the award since 1981. She is the winner of many major violin competitions, including the coveted Symphony Australia Young Performer of the Year Strings Award. She made her concerto debut with the East-West Philharmonic Orchestra at age 10, and has since been a regular soloist with orchestras around the world. Emily is a BBC Introducing Artist, and her performances have been broadcast on radio worldwide. She has performed as soloist in international venues such as the Sydney Opera House, Tchaikovsky Great Hall Moscow, Tel Aviv Opera House, Auditorium du Louvre, and Wigmore Hall.
  • Harry Bennetts

    Harry Bennetts

    Harry is currently a student at the Australian National Academy of Music studying under Dr Robin Wilson. In 2015 Harry performed the Sibelius violin concerto with the Maroondah Symphony Orchestra and will tour with the Australian Chamber Orchestra as an Emerging Artist. He was Concertmaster of the University of Melbourne Symphony Orchestra in 2013. A member of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra Sinfonia in 2012, Harry has also performed with the Sydney Camerata and the Australian Youth Orchestra.

    Yebin Yoo

    The 16-year-old Australian/South Korean musician is a student at the Australian National Academy of Music. She has been named the winner of the 2016 Gisborne International Music Competition in New Zealand. In 2015 she won the Hephzibah Menuhin Memorial Award, and performed in the International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians.

    Josephine Chung

    Born in Sydney, Josephine is 18 years old and is currently studying a Bachelor of Music at the Curtis Institute of Music in the US. Josephine was the winner of the prestigious 2016 Dorcas McClean Travelling Scholarship, following her recital and performance of the Sibelius Concerto with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. In 2015, she won the Ku-Ring-Gai Philharmonic Orchestra Concerto Competition, and in 2013 the National Youth Concerto Competition.

    Lily Higson-Spence

    Lily has appeared as a soloist with orchestras around the country, such as the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, and the Willoughby Symphony Orchestra. She was a grand finalist in the 2015 ABC Symphony Australia’s Young Performers Awards. A keen chamber musician, Lily has performed a variety of chamber music amongst professional musicians at music festivals such as the Bangalow Music Festival and The Huntington Estate Music Festival. She has also recorded for various radio stations including the ABC, 4MBS and 3MBS.
  • Christian Li

    Christian Li

    Li was born in Melbourne Australia in Oct 2007 and began violin at the age of 5 showing great interest and talent in music. Currently he is studying under Dr. Robin Wilson, Head of Violin at Australian National Music Academy. In July 2017 Christian won First Prize in the violin category of the Young Artist Semper Music International Competition in Italy and gave many solo and chamber music performances as part of the Semper Music International Festival & Summer Academy. In June 2017 Christian was selected to perform at Carnegie Hall in NY in the American Protégé Showcase 10-year Anniversary concert. Christian has also won all the local violin competitions that he participated in in Australia for his age group and joined the Melbourne String Ensemble in 2015 as the youngest ever member of Intermediate group. In 2014 he won first prize in the Golden Beijing violin competition in China and in 2013 Christian was chosen for a TV commercial in China which features him playing the violin.
  • Riley Skevington

    Riley Skevington

    Recipient of the Richard Pollett Memorial Award, Riley has performed in a number of national music festivals and in 2016 he joined the Australian Chamber Orchestra as an Emerging Artist, touring NSW and WA. He has also enjoyed performing at international festivals and venues throughout Europe and China, including the BBC Proms in London, Menuhin Festival in Gstaad, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Konzerthaus in Berlin and the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing. He has been Concertmaster of the Australian Youth Orchestra (AYO), performed in the Gold Coast and Brisbane and participated in his third international tour with them returning to the Netherlands, Germany China.
  • Anna De Silva Chen

    Anna De Silva Chen

    Recognised as one of Australia’s leading young violinists, Anna has appeared as soloist with major orchestras across Australia and performed in venues such as the Sydney Opera House and Melbourne Recital Centre. Anna was a prizewinner at the Gisborne International Music Competition and was selected as a junior semi-finalist at the Yehudi Menuhin International Violin Competition at the age of fifteen. She has won first prizes in various competitions such as the Kendall National Violin Competition, National Fine Music 102.5 Young Virtuoso Award, Australian National Youth Concerto Competition and Sydney Conservatorium of Music’s String Concerto Competition.
  • Zoe Freisberg

    Zoe Freisberg

    Zoe completed her Bachelor of Music at Queensland Conservatorium and commenced studies at the Australian National Academy of Music under the tutelage of Robin Wilson. Zoe joined the Australian Chamber Orchestra’s ACO2 on four tours as an Emerging Artist. Zoe was also one of six finalists in the 2014 ABC Young Performers Award as well as a finalist in the ANAM Concerto Competition. Zoe is very honoured to be the recipient of the Australian Youth Orchestra’s Richard Pollett Memorial Award. In 2015, Zoe won the Australian Youth Classical Music Competition’s Overseas Travel Scholarship and was a finalist in the ABC Young Performers Award.
  • Harry Ward

    Harry Ward

    Harry has always been extremely passionate about music and the violin in particular and has won many prestigious awards and prizes, including Australian String Academy Concerto Winner, Kuringgai Conerto Competition Junior Winder, McDonalds Concerto Competition, ABC Young Performers Finalist, National Youth Concerto Competition Winner, Australian Vocal & Concerto Competition, etc. Harry has been invited to attend great fesivals, schools and Summer schools. In 2011 and 2012 he received full scholarships to the Meadownmount Summer School in New York. Currently Harry is a student of Professor Boris Kuschnir as part of the course for Highly Gifted Students through the University of Music and Performing Arts, Graz, although living in Vienna. Here Harry is consuming and performing music with some of the world’s finest musicians.
