In September 2017, One of our successful candidates, 12yr old Owen Jiang, submitted his video for LCBE examination, where he also used it to audition for an opportunity to play solo at the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall for a public schools concert, where only one piano soloist was chosen across the whole state. With hard work and preparation, he was successful in both his online exam and winning his chance to play live for a full audience. This is the same stage that has been host to many famous pianists such as Evgeny Kissin, Stephen Hough, Lang Lang, Yuja Wang and George Li just to name a few. We are excited to share with you all his CBE submission, and his live performance at the famous Sydney Opera House, performing the Friska from Liszt – Hungarian Rhapsody no.2
Although it wasn’t a live examination, it can bring you great opportunities, to refine and polish your abilities to be used even in live performance spaces. Well Done Owen.
